Opal, a leading French eyewear brand since 1917, designs and sells innovative sunglasses and optical frames. To strengthen their digital presence, Opal teamed up with Sutunam to modernize their eCommerce site using Prestashop. Prestashop Powers Opal's New Vision

A fresh PrestaShop instance laid the foundation for Opal’s renewed eCommerce platform, designed to be both robust and future-ready. Core configurations focused on strengthening security to safeguard sensitive customer data and build trust from the very first click.

The SaleHub theme was customized to reflect Opal’s brand identity while ensuring a seamless user experience. Payment and delivery modules were configured to meet the needs of both French and English customers, while GDPR compliance was guaranteed through a dedicated module. Full bilingual support (FR/EN), including dynamic meta tags, was implemented to boost SEO and expand international visibility.

To simplify product discovery, faceted filtering was added to category pages, enabling users to refine their searches with ease. Cross-selling rules were applied across product and cart pages, encouraging complementary purchases and driving higher average order values.

Performance optimization included converting images to WebP and streamlining site speed for smooth responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Although custom APIs were not required at this stage, the platform was designed with scalability in mind, laying the groundwork for future third-party integrations, AI-driven features, and enterprise system connections.

This transformation provides Opal with a secure, high-performance platform built to support both immediate business needs and long-term growth.
