With over 170,000 followers on Instagram, Yummix had built a vibrant mobile-first community that increasingly needed a native mobile experience: one that removed the usability and portability constraints of the existing web platform.
Sutunam was engaged to lead the full UX/UI design of the mobile application, from audit and strategy through to interactive prototype and development handover.

Solving the Navigation Challenge
Yummix needed a UX/UI design for their mobile application that would feel as intuitive as having a personal chef on hand. Before a single screen was built, we established a mobile-first foundation rooted in solid UX/UI architecture.
We began by auditing the existing Yummix web platform to understand its content structure, subscription model, and usage patterns built over more than ten years. This analysis informed every decision that followed.
We led UX workshops to align business goals with real mobile usage in kitchen contexts. We defined clear user flows for recipe browsing, favourites, shopping lists, and subscription access. Establishing functional clarity before any technical implementation, which significantly reduced delivery risks.
Building on validated user flows, we produced high-fidelity wireframes and a full UI design using an atomic design system approach. Reusable components support future Symfony and custom API development, and facilitate strong integration with existing business platforms.
We delivered a fully interactive prototype as a shared reference for all teams. This enabled smooth collaboration with Bear Studio, the mobile studio responsible for the React Native application, ensuring a clean design handover and tight alignment between UX decisions and technical execution.
We also integrated WCAG accessibility standards and designed secure authentication and subscription flows that anticipate future Magento eCommerce integrations: keeping monetisation logic consistent across all platforms.
This validated UX/UI foundation supports Yummix’s digital transformation goals. Avoiding costly rework and preparing the platform for scalable cloud infrastructure and future third-party integrations.
